Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Cement Finisher to place and finish concrete in accordance with project specs. This safety-sensitive role requires attention to detail and teamwork on busy sites.

Responsibilities include striking, bull floating, troweling, applying sealants, and installing anchors while maintaining quality and safety standards. Applicants should have a HS diploma and a valid driver's license, with OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety practices per safety program.

• Must provide own safety footwear.
• OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positioning themselves on the concrete forms and moving the pump hose or concrete bucket into place for the pouring of the concrete.
• Levelling the top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors, walls, ceilings, or sidewalks; finish to required tolerances.
• Applies a bull float to smooth the surface and bring moisture to the top.
• Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface; waterproofing and damp-proofing.
• Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
• Operates a trowel to finish the surface; final troweling with a 14-inch steel trowel.
• Promotes a safe work environment and communicates jobsite hazards.
