Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a cement finisher to place and finish concrete on our Wyoming projects. This safety-sensitive role requires leveling poured surfaces, using screeds, bull floats, and trowels, and applying curing compounds to meet project tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a strong commitment to safety; OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid are preferred, with blueprint reading experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must communicate effectively and professionally.
• Solid math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
• Preferred: OSHA 10, CPR & First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position on concrete forms and move pump hose or bucket into place.
• Level and finish concrete surfaces to meet tolerances for thickness and flatness.
• Apply bull float to smooth surfaces and bring moisture to the top.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates and fixtures in fresh concrete.
• Operate trowel to finish surface and perform final hand finishing as needed.
• Promote safety and communicate jobsite hazards.
