Job summary

Pro-Pave, Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew in a hands-on role focused on placing, finishing, and repairing concrete across a variety of sites including foundations, slabs, sidewalks, and curbs.

The candidate will bring hands-on experience, a solid understanding of techniques, and a commitment to high-quality finishes. Responsibilities include forming, pouring, finishing, curing, and inspecting concrete, reading blueprints, and coordinating with truck

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds.
• Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers).
• Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.).
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly.
• Cut control joints and edges for proper expansion and appearance.
• Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods.
• Ensure quality control, proper thickness, slope, and surface integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order.
• Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
• Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
• Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
