Job summary

Duininck is seeking workers for seasonal concrete projects across Texas and Oklahoma. You will produce hot mix asphalt and high-stakes concrete work for aviation and defense facilities as part of a team delivering critical infrastructure.

The role offers competitive hourly pay with overtime based on experience, plus benefits such as PTO, health plans, dental & vision, life insurance, and a company 401K match. Must be able to travel within Texas.

Responsibilities

• Place forms to hold concrete and ensure required depth and pitch.
• Pour, smooth, and level concrete with rake, trowel, float, and screed.
• Apply sealing and hardening components.
• Mold and construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Monitor curing conditions affected by heat, wind and cold.
• Remove edges on expansion joints.
• Compact materials using power vibrators to create level bases.
• Coordinate with truck drivers and move chutes for pouring.
• Apply curing compounds on concrete surface.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep equipment clean and ready for transport.
• Maintain order and safety at jobsite.
• Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved.
• Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed.
• Applying sealing and hardening components.
• Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Monitoring the effect heat, wind and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results.
• Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.
• Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases.
• Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.
• Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.
• Performs necessary daily inspection and or maintenance of equipment used.
• Keeps equipment clean and in working order and prepares equipment for transport when needed.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.
