Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete and run slump, air, and temperature tests at outdoor sites. You’ll verify soil compaction, document results the same day, and report findings to superintendents. Training is provided and certifications are sponsored by the company.

Pay ranges from $18 to $28 per hour, with overtime for longer production schedules. Travel to various sites across the Gulf Coast region is common, and safety protocols are strictly

Qualifications

• No experience required to start; structured field training provided.
• You must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable working outdoors.
• The company sponsors certifications (ACI Field Grade I, NICET I/II) as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on-site; ensure gauge standardization and cure boxes.
