Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete and verify soil compaction at multiple sites. You will learn to run slump, air, and temperature tests, cast cylinders, and document results the same day while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will receive structured field training and our sponsorship for ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade I and nuclear gauge safety certification. Pay ranges $18–$28/hour with overtime as schedules require.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I certification is a plus and we sponsor it.
• Nuclear gauge safety certification is a plus and we sponsor it.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
