Penhall Company is seeking a Concrete Cutting Trainee in Indiana to support experienced operators while gaining hands-on training in core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting, and removal. This entry-level role offers growth opportunities and a chance to build a career in skilled trades.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Prior labor or construction exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with wall saws, core drills, flat saws, hand/ ring saws, and compressor tools such as jackhammers preferred.
• Experience with construction equipment like bobcats or backhoes is highly desired.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to learn equipment operation and maintenance.
• Self-motivation and ability to work in challenging conditions (rain, cold, heat).
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more.

Responsabilités

• Assist with cutting, sawing, lifting, and core drilling of concrete under supervision.
• Operate and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and tools (diamond blades, saws, drills, wall saws, jackhammers).
• Ensure regular inspection, maintenance, security, and cleanliness of equipment.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support setup and breakdown of job sites and ensure proper equipment readiness.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
