Penhall Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Concrete Cutting Trainee to support experienced operators and gain hands-on training in core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting, and removal. This entry-level role offers growth opportunities in the skilled trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience in labor roles, preferably in construction or demolition.
• Familiarity with concrete cutting tools is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cutting, sawing, lifting, and core drilling of concrete under supervision.
• Operate and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and tools such as diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, and jackhammers.
• Ensure regular inspection, basic maintenance, security, and cleanliness of all company equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring proper equipment organization and readiness.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project success.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
