Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction is offering a Construction Intern position in Hartford, CT. You will gain hands-on experience in formwork design, project estimating, scheduling, and safety tracking while supporting engineers, managers, and field crews.

This one-on-one learning internship translates classroom knowledge into real-world practice, helping you develop practical skills, confidence, and direction for a career in construction.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with project teams.
• Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel and work for an extended period on projects outside of the office area.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient form systems.
• Assist with preparation of formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
• Monitor safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects with the project team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design concerns with the project team.
• Aid in preparation of quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and proposals.
• Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting.
