Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies is seeking a hands-on production teammate for concrete pedestal and machine base formation. You will set up complex forms, read drawings, position embedded components, and oversee curing and finishing processes with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, experience with measurement tools, and ability to lift up to 60 pounds. A pre-employment drug screen is required; overtime may be available in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble forms per drawings for precision concrete pedestals and machine bases.
• Position and verify embedded components and blocks to print specifications.
• Pour, consolidate, and finish concrete to required specs; monitor casting quality.
• Perform quality inspections throughout casting; communicate issues promptly.
• Maintain and clean forms and tooling; keep work areas safe and organized.
• Support safety and continuous improvement initiatives across production.

Job description

What You'll Do

Form Setup & Preparation

• Set up and assemble complex multi-piece steel forms for precision concrete pedestals and machine bases.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and layout information.
• Position and secure forms to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Prepare casting tables, tooling, and materials for production.

Reinforcement & Embedded Components

• Tack weld rebar and ferrous loops according to engineering requirements.
• Accurately position machined embedded blocks and components within forms.
• Verify locations and measurements using precision measuring tools.
• Ensure all reinforcement and embedded materials meet print specifications.

Concrete Casting & Finishing

• Pour, consolidate, and finish concrete to required specifications.
• Monitor casting processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Remove steel forms after curing requirements have been met.
• Set completed concrete pedestals and machine bases for curing.

Quality Control

• Perform quality inspections throughout the casting process.
• Verify dimensions, placement, and finished product requirements.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns promptly.
• Ensure all work meets customer specifications and company quality standards.

Equipment, Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Clean, repair, maintain, and store casting forms and tooling.
• Maintain casting tables and production equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist other production departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Proficiency using both metric and imperial measuring systems.
• Solid understanding of precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to accurately read and use measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and perform accurate layout work.
• Experience with welding and basic metal fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in precast concrete, concrete forming, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication.
• Experience working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Forklift or overhead lifting equipment experience.
• Quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor production environment.
• Fast-paced manufacturing setting with occasional overtime requirements.
• Physically demanding work involving standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling.
• Exposure to concrete materials, fabrication operations, and production equipment.
• Work is performed on a concrete manufacturing shop floor.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided by the company.
• Safety-toe work boots are required.
