Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. in Tualatin, OR, is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to cut, fit, weld, and finish high-precision parts from engineering drawings.

You’ll work hands-on in our indoor fabrication facility and contribute to reliable tool bases used in semiconductor production. You will read shop drawings and welding symbols, perform fit-ups, tack and final welds, prepare parts for powder coating, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding/fabrication experience with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.
• Ability to read detailed drawings and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of welding parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Strong layout, math, and measurement skills (metric/imperial).
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, weld, and finish high-precision parts from drawings.
• Read shop drawings and welding symbols accurately.
• Perform fit-ups, tack welds, and final welds.
• Prepare parts for powder coating; flattening and straightening.
• Grind and finish as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and tools.
• Communicate progress with team and follow safety protocols.
• Support other production tasks as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Welder/Fabricator, you’ll be hands-on with critical components, working from engineering drawings to cut, fit, weld, and finish high-precision parts. You’ll play a key role in delivering the quality and reliability our customers count on.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Cutting, drilling, tapping, and prepping metal parts per specifications
• Reading shop drawings and welding symbols accurately
• Performing fit-ups, tack welding, and final welds
• Flattening, straightening, and preparing parts for powder coating
• Grinding and finishing as required
• Maintaining your work area and tools in clean, safe condition
• Collaborating with team members and communicating job progress
• Following safety protocols and participating in safety meetings
• Taking initiative to solve fabrication challenges
• Supporting other production tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates with:

• 3+ year of welding/fabrication experience GMAW, FCAW, GTAW
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and weld symbols
• Knowledge of welding parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• Strong layout, math, and measuring skills (metric & imperial)
• Confidence using hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment as well as finishing skills
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• A commitment to producing quality work on deadline
• A collaborative, solution-oriented attitude

This role is based in our indoor fabrication facility and includes physically active tasks such as lifting, bending, welding, and grinding.

The pay range for this role is:
25 - 28 USD per hour(Tualatin HQ)
