Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies is seeking a Pedestal Assembly Technician to join our production team. You will assemble precision-machined pedestals and subassemblies, following detailed drawings and procedures to ensure high-quality results.

The role involves mechanical assembly, quality inspections, and collaboration with Engineering and Production to resolve issues. OSHA-compliant safety practices and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical, manufacturing, or product assembly experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pedestals and components per engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly with hand and torque tools and measure accuracy.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, fit, finish, and conformance to specs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and Production to resolve issues.
• Assist with packaging, staging, and preparation of finished products; maintain clean workstations.

• Day Shift (4 x 10s): Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Swing Shift (4 x 10s): Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Weekend Shift (3 x 12s): Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pedestal Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you’ll assemble precision-machined pedestals and subassemblies using detailed engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly contribute to the performance of highly engineered products used in cutting-edge industries.

What You’ll Do

Mechanical Assembly

• Assemble custom pedestals and related components according to engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components.
• Ensure assemblies meet all dimensional and cosmetic requirements.

Quality & Inspection

• Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, fit, finish, and conformance to specifications.
• Document inspections and quality checks as required.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns promptly.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to assembly processes and product quality.

Collaboration & Problem Solving

• Work closely with Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams to resolve assembly issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting product and process challenges.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Packaging & Production Support

• Assist with packaging, preparation, and staging of finished products for shipment.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient workstations.
• Support other production departments as workload demands require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Contribute ideas that improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical, manufacturing, or product assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in precision manufacturing or industrial assembly.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Experience working in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
• Indoor manufacturing and assembly environment.
• Physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Frequent handling of components, tooling, and materials.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required on the production floor and provided by the company.
