Job summary

D R ALLEN & SON INC is seeking a Batch Person to operate concrete batching and delivery processes, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. You will cross-train and assist with mixer truck duties as needed, while maintaining equipment and following work instructions.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate data recording, and professional customer service to support daily production goals and client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NCDOT Field and Batch Certified.
• 3-5 Years’ Experience in Concrete Mixing and Delivery.
• Valid NC Driver License (Call A CDL Preferred), clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and Clearinghouse checks.
• Operate tablets, laptops and workstations using various software platforms.
• Experience with Field Inspection and Concrete Batching Certifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels within the organization).
• Demonstrated ability execute processes and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Comply to all Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements and direct crew during production.
• Maintain Plant Equipment, Facilities and Mixer Trucks through preventative maintenance.
• Manage Inventory Replenishment to support production requirements.
• Monitor and report performance of daily activities to Plant Manager.
• Accurately record and report production data daily.
• Produce Quality Product during mixing and delivery in line with instructions.
• Be an effective team member, follow policies and support schedule changes.
• Present a professional image and provide exceptional customer service.
