Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a dependable Batchman to join our production team in Amarillo. You will oversee the concrete batching process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, consistency, efficiency, and safety in every load.

You will coordinate with drivers and plant colleagues, maintain records, and support maintenance and training as needed. A background in batching systems and a detail-oriented approach helps ensure we meet customer specifications and SRM standards.

Qualifications

Experience operating concrete batching systems or in ready-mix operations preferred.
Ability to read and understand mix designs, production schedules, and material requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Commitment to safety, dependability, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

Operate batching equipment to produce concrete per mix designs and schedules.
Monitor material quantities, moisture content, and admixtures to maintain quality.
Coordinate with drivers and plant teams to ensure timely production.
Maintain daily production records and monitor inventories of cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures.
Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and basic troubleshooting.
Ensure batching operations comply with SRM safety standards and environmental procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and report issues promptly.
Assist in training new team members as needed.
