Job summary

Oaklawn Jockey Club seeks a friendly concierge to be the first point of contact for guests at the Hotel/Casino. You will assist with reservations, spa bookings, nightlife suggestions and transportation arrangements, always presenting a professional image.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of guest service experience, and the ability to multitask while resolving guest needs with diplomacy and discretion.

Qualifications

• One year of guest service experience required.
• Concierge experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and guests concurrently.
• Must interact with guests, staff and colleagues in a diplomatic manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable guest service at the hotel/casino.

• Coordinate events or special projects for guests and teams.
• Assist guests with transportation, directions, and tours.

A concierge assists guests by performing various tasks such as making restaurant reservations, arranging for spa services, recommending night life hot spots, booking transportation, etc. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.Provides impeccable guest service to all guestsEnsures customer needs are met: provide directions; suggestions for restaurants.Coordinates special events or special projects.Assists guest with problems with hotel services.Provides information on the geographical area.Suggests site-seeing locations, provide directions and arrange tours.Assists guests in making travel arrangements to and from airports or other local destinations.Makes reservations for meals at various restaurants.Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
