Job summary

Concord Hospitality Enterprises is seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Concierge in Columbus, OH. You will be the go-to resource for guests, offering restaurant and area recommendations, directions, and personalized service to enhance their stay.

As the main point of contact, you will respond to requests, provide information about local attractions, coordinate with hotel departments, and ensure guest satisfaction with clear, professional communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest services preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide accurate local information and directions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests for special arrangements by making arrangements or identifying providers.
• Handle requests from guests with unique needs and follow up for satisfaction.
• Provide information about the property and area amenities, including events and activities.
• Answer and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve guest issues as needed.
• Review shift logs and document pertinent information in logbooks.
• Monitor lounge for seating and guest safety and well-being.
• Report accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager and complete safety training.
• Maintain policies, professional appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and show appreciation.

We are hiring a Concierge

The hotel concierge is an important role at any full service hotel in providing the guest with the total “Guest Experience.” You are the go‑to person the guest will come to for ideas on how to make their visit the most it can be…and you – armed with the knowledge of the areas best expected attractions – makes their stay memorable for years to come

The Role

• Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.
• Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
• Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
• Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
• Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well‑being of guests.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
