Job summary

4-K Housing is a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization seeking a Part-time (as needed) Dishwasher/Utility Worker for Stoney Brook of Hewitt. This role supports residents and staff by maintaining sanitary dishware and clean kitchen areas, with shifts that include mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include operating the dish machine, keeping the area clean, and ensuring a steady supply of clean tableware.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Keep the dish machine clean and report any issues.
• Monitor water temperature for sanitary wash cycles.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.

Stoney Brook of Hewitt has an outstanding opportunity for a Part-time (as needed) Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our team.

Shifts:

• 8:00 a.m.
  – 1:00 p.m.
• Weekend & holiday shifts on rotation

Responsibilities:

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time.
• Great customer service attitude
• Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to work independently or work with others in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.
