Job summary

Cardinal Bay is a mission-driven not-for-profit senior living health care organization seeking a Full-Time Dishwasher/Utility Worker at Carriage Inn Bryan. The role supports compassionate care by maintaining dishwashing operations and keeping kitchen spaces clean and organized.

Shifts run 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. with 3 on/3 off rotation, including weekends and holidays. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage, vacation, discounts, and 401(k) with matching contributions.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods.
• Great customer service attitude.
• Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to work independently or with others in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
