Job summary

The Ginger Brands is seeking a friendly, guest-focused Host to welcome guests, guide seating, and support a smooth dining experience in a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting menus, coordinating seating rotations, communicating promotions, and assisting servers. You will handle phone inquiries, take to-go orders, and maintain an orderly host stand while ensuring excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant hosting or serving preferred.
• Friendly, customer-focused personality.
• Ability to greet and farewell guests clearly and professionally.
• Ability to clearly communicate guests' needs to servers and staff.
• Strong telephone communication skills for taking calls and reservations.
• Ability to lift and carry trays or supplies (10–30 lbs).

• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages
• Answer the phone.

Qualifications
