Job summary

Compass Group USA in partnership with Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education seeks a Concessions Supervisor for Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. This seasonal role directs associates on a shift and ensures policy and procedure are followed.

You will train staff, manage schedules, evaluate performance, and prepare reports to maintain quality, safety and productivity. Prior concessions experience and stadium familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior concessions experience required.
• Experience working in an athletic stadium is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate performance, reward top performers, and address underperformance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure quality, productivity and safety.
• Serve as the contact for employee questions and time-off requests.
• Mentor employees and encourage advancement; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
