Job summary

Compass Group USA at Rider University-Starbucks - 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648 is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor. This role directs associates on a shift and ensures that tasks meet policy, quality and safety standards.

Successful candidates will have prior supervisory experience and will oversee training, scheduling, and performance, with opportunities for growth within Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education.

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
