Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education, is hiring on-call concession food service workers for events at Monmouth Board Plan, 400 Cedar Avenue, West Long Branch, NJ 07764. Online applications accepted only. Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential duties include prep, portion control, serving customers, and maintaining food safety standards. On-call schedule; days and hours vary with concerts and athletic events.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations safely.
• Stores food in designated areas following dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Requirement: Prior food service experience is preferred.
• Pay range: $17.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.

• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
