Job summary

Compass Group is seeking a Concessions Supervisor to oversee multiple concession stands during UW–Madison sporting events, managing non-profit volunteers, training, and safety to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Start date anticipated in August.

You will lead operations, support staff, ensure proper product handling, and uphold cash handling policies and sanitation guidelines at Camp Randall Stadium & The Kohl Center Arena.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in food service or similar role.

Concessions Supervisor at Camp Randall Stadium & The Kohl Center Arena

Pay Range: $20.00 to $22.00 (+ an additional $5 hourly rate on football gamedays!)

Job Summary

Join our team as a Concessions Supervisor and play a key role in managing the operations of concession stands during UW‑Madison sporting events. In this position, you’ll oversee non‑profit volunteers, ensure proper training, and maintain a safe and efficient environment, all while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Anticipated start date in August.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operations of multiple concession stands, ensuring smooth service and a positive guest experience during UW‑Madison sporting events.
• Assist team members and volunteers, responding to questions, addressing needs, and providing guidance throughout the event.
• Understand menu offerings, presentation, and pricing to ensure accurate service and product quality.
• Maintain inventory control and ensure the proper handling of products and equipment.
• Stock and prepare concession stands before the event, ensuring everything is in place and ready for service.
• Clean and close down stands after the event, ensuring everything is in order for the next event.
• Complete event paperwork at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure proper records.
• Uphold cash handling policies and follow food safety/sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required to support event operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a food service or similar role.
• Willingness to obtain Responsible Alcohol ServSafe Certification & Food Handler's ServSafe (if not already certified).
• Must be 21+ years of age for alcohol handling responsibilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for long hours during events.
• Ability to lift 25-45 lbs when necessary for setup and inventory management.
• Must be available to work all UW‑Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center Arena.
