Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to liquor laws and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all necessary supplies including beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
• Maintains stock, prepares, and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
• Greets guests courteously and friendly.
• Takes and processes drink orders; mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes; practices portion control.
• Checks IDs for proper identification.
• Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly; demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Handles cash transactions accurately; verifies charges and records transactions properly.
• Secures beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash; secures the bank.
• Performs cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards; keeps work area organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
