Job Summary

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Sets up the bar, stocks beer, wine, spirits, glassware, and supplies.
3. Maintains and prepares garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greets guests courteously.
5. Processes drink orders, mixes drinks, and practices portion control.
6. Checks IDs for guests.
7. Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, knowing liquor laws.
8. Handles cash, verifies charges, and records transactions.
9. Secures beverage, food, equipment, and cash at the end of shift.
10. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.
11. Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Washes and sterilizes stemware.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
