Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

1. Adhering to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Setting up bars, requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
3. Maintaining stock and preparing garnishes, juices, and perishables.
4. Greeting guests courteously.
5. Taking and processing drink orders, mixing and garnishing drinks, practicing portion control.
6. Checking IDs for guests.
7. Detecting guest intoxication and acting accordingly.
8. Handling cash, verifying charges, and recording transactions.
9. Securing beverage products, food, equipment, and cash.
10. Keeping the work area clean and organized.
11. Arranging bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Washing and sterilizing stemware.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.
