Job summary

RowanEDC Partnership in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a Concession Worker to perform responsible concession and customer service duties in the Parks and Recreation Department. Reporting to the Concession Manager, you will operate a concession stand and assist with programming activities.

The position requires friendly, reliable service for summer programs, the ability to handle payments, stock management, and light custodial work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Food service or recreational work desirable.
• Experience with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register; counts start-up cash and ensures enough change is available.
• Maintains concession stand and restocks drinks and snacks.
• Greet patrons, collect fees, provide recreational equipment, and assist with programming activities.
• Answers telephone.
• Rents equipment, inventories and stores equipment.
• Maintains participation records and logs.
• Enforces rules and regulations.
• Performs light custodial and beautification tasks; keeps concession area clean.
