Job summary

Churchill Downs Inc at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel seeks a Food & Beverage Cashier to ensure quality service and accurate cash handling while preparing and selling all menu items. The role requires readiness to work in a fast-paced stand and maintain knowledge of daily menus and prices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service or Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
• Greets guests approaching service area.
• Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all food service equipment used to prepare and serve the menu items.
• Must be able to operate all equipment in the stand.
• Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices.
• Ensure proper stock of product and supplies needed for service.
• Responsible for opening and closing inventories.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.
• Standing 8-10 Hours
• Other duties as assigned.
