Job summary

DEFTEC is seeking a COMSEC Manager in San Antonio to manage KOAM operations and oversee COMSEC material safeguarding and accounting.

You will train CROs and SVROs, conduct audits, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with AFMAN, DoD, and national standards. A TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570.01-M IAT II training are required, with access to sensitive systems and collaboration with the 502d Communications Squadron.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• IAT Level II security training per DoD 8570.01-M.
• Completion of the COMSEC KMI course required.
• At least three years of COMSEC accounting experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform KOAM Alt KOAM duties for the COMSEC account per AFMAN 17-1302-O, MPTO 00-33B-5001, and KMI 5110.
• Provide program guidance, training, and education to CROs and SVROs on proper control, accountability, and destruction of COMSEC material.
• Ensure safeguarding and accounting of all COMSEC material IAW national requirements.
• Maintain documentation on user accounts and accountability of COMSEC material.
• Conduct semiannual COMSEC audits and inventories and report COMSEC incidents IAW AF/DoD policy.
• Protect COMSEC material and limit access to authorized personnel.
• Receive, give a receipt for, and safeguard all COMSEC material issued to the KOA.
• Perform routine destruction or disposal of COMSEC material as directed by COR or controlling authority.
• Track all assigned work and workflow in Government AIS.
• Provide on-the-job COMSEC training to DoD personnel.
• Perform KMI Management Client (MGC) management/maintenance activities, including roles with Client Host Platform and AKP (KMI 5110).
• Administer Client Host Platform and AKP within KMI 5110 scope.
