Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned COMSEC professional to provide on-site leadership for a high-visibility COMSEC team in El Segundo, supporting SAP, SCI, and collateral accounts. The role focuses on continuity, oversight, and compliance across multiple programs with government customers.

You will supervise a team of seven, manage key material, incident response, DIAS reporting, and secure deployments while aligning with NSA CSSM policy and CNSSI references. A DoD clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years.
• Experience leading or supervising COMSEC operations or security teams.
• Experience with DoD, NSA, and classified program compliance requirements (NISPOM, NSA CSSM Policy 3-16).
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and COMSEC accounting, auditing, inventories, and compliance validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership and direct supervision for a team of seven COMSEC personnel.
• Oversee day-to-day COMSEC operations including key management, incident response, DIAS reporting, inventory accuracy, and compliance across SAP, SCI, and collateral.
• Serve as the primary COMSEC Lead for El Segundo programs and government customers, ensuring alignment with NSA CSSM and CNSSI policy requirements.
• Coordinate deployment, programming, and sustainment of secure communications tech (HAIPE devices, vIPer phones, keying material).
• Partner with program managers, engineers, and government reps to resolve challenges and ensure secure operations.
• Lead team development, performance management, coaching, and resource planning to maintain continuity.
