Job summary

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist III - COMSEC to manage COMSEC and KMI programs in a highly sensitive environment. The role requires an active TS clearance and experience with DoD security standards, audits, and process improvements.

The position reports to the Facility Security Officer and collaborates with DCSA, NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and other security stakeholders to ensure compliant, secure operations and accurate inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance required.
• KMI/COMSEC Certification preferred.
• Security+ Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure secure handling, storage, and safeguarding of COMSEC materials per NSA/DoD standards.
• Accountable for COMSEC inventory, audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inspections.
• Train alternate COMSEC custodians and Navy personnel on key handling procedures.
• Coordinate with program managers and stakeholders (DCSA, NAVSEA, SUPSHIP) for compliance and status reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to modernize key distribution and security practices.
