Primary Purpose:

To provide technical assistance to all district personnel to ensure the effective use of technology.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

Technical experience or technical training

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Comprehensive understanding of PC hardware and software, along with general networking understanding.

The ability to communicate with end users and vendors.

Experience:

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot PC’s in a windows environment, Chromebook, and Apple products. This can include hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues (both wired and wireless), etc.
  • Assist in PC Imaging processes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot other technologies, such as surveillance systems, phones, and projection systems.
  • Work with vendor tech support for solutions to problems.
  • Assist in the installation/troubleshooting of LISD’s WAN and LAN.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands:

Ability to function in a fast paced and stressful environment.

Equipment Used:

Phone, two-way radio, personal computer, printer, fax machine, and other computer peripherals.

Physical Demands:

High level of energy required. Climbing, stretching, and frequent lifting of technology equipment required. Effective communication, sometimes prolonged and irregular hours, and occasional out-of district travel.
