Repowered in Minnesota is seeking a hands-on Computer Technician to test, refurbish and prepare laptops and electronics for retail and wholesale customers. You will work within a small team under a Lead Technician to meet daily goals.
The role emphasizes hands-on repair experience, attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate across departments; training may be provided for Work Readiness participants in the program. This position is full-time, on-site in a warehouse environment.
The Computer Technician tests and provides quality, efficient repairs for laptop computers and other electronics as needed. This role works within a team of 4 to 6 Technicians under the direction of a Lead Technician to complete exceptional work refurbishing recycled laptops to the specifications needed for retail and wholesale customers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and repairing laptops, can work independently within a team for a common goal, and is interested in keeping technology out of landfills by getting it ready for a new home. The Computer Technician will often interact with and sometimes train employees in our Work Readiness program, which primarily employs people leaving incarceration or recovering from substance use disorders.
