SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Computer Repair Technician for our client in Irving, TX. The role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, replacing components, and ensuring post-repair quality. The position is at a production-driven facility with opportunities for overtime.

Formación

• Experience repairing laptops, desktops, or other electronic devices.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.
• Experience replacing internal components and performing upgrades.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems and basic software troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and follow repair procedures and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and basic software issues on laptops and desktop computers.
• Perform repairs by replacing defective or damaged components.
• Disassemble and reassemble laptops and desktops safely and efficiently.
• Replace and install RAM, SSDs, hard drives, batteries, keyboards, LCD screens, motherboards, cooling fans, wireless cards.
• Perform BIOS and firmware updates and OS installations when required.
• Troubleshoot power, charging, display, storage, networking, and performance-related issues.
• Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify hardware failures.
• Conduct post-repair testing to ensure quality standards.
• Verify ports, cameras, speakers, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, keyboards, touchpads, displays.
• Document repairs, parts replaced, and testing results in the inventory system.
• Maintain repair records and communicate recurring defects to supervisors.
• Follow ESD procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain organized workspace and manage tools and parts.
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals in a production environment.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with technicians, quality inspectors, and supervisors to resolve issues.

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Computer Repair Technicians for our client’s electronic manufacturing plant in Irving, TX. The Position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 30lbs throughout shift. Successful applicants will be very detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation DOE as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include Currently have 1 Shift:1st Shift Monday-Friday- 9am-5pm $18.50 Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Responsibilities of the Repair Technician:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and basic software issues on laptops and desktop computers.
• Perform repairs on computer systems by replacing defective or damaged components.
• Disassemble and reassemble laptops and desktops safely and efficiently.
• Replace and install RAM, SSDs, hard drives, batteries, keyboards, LCD screens, motherboards, cooling fans, wireless cards, and other internal components.
• Perform BIOS updates, firmware updates, and operating system installations when required.
• Troubleshoot power, charging, display, storage, networking, and performance-related issues.
• Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify and verify hardware failures.
• Conduct post-repair functional testing to ensure equipment meets quality standards.
• Verify all ports, cameras, speakers, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, keyboards, touchpads, and displays are fully operational.
• Document repairs, parts replaced, and testing results in the inventory or tracking system.
• Maintain accurate repair records and communicate recurring defects to supervisors.
• Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures and company safety standards.
• Maintain an organized workstation and properly manage repair tools and replacement parts.
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals in a production-driven environment.
• Assist with inventory counts, part identification, and other warehouse duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with technicians, quality inspectors, and supervisors to resolve technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications of the Repair Technician:

• Previous experience repairing laptops, desktops, or other electronic devices required.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience replacing internal computer components and performing hardware upgrades.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic software troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and follow repair procedures and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
