Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – COSA (25-013) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the X-Lab O&S Leadership and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the X-Lab systems in an experimental environment.
Essential Functions:
Provide first-level technical support to the X-Lab Experiment Leads and perform initial troubleshooting of all X-Lab hardware, software, and networks.
Document and report all events/issues to the X-Lab Leadership and receive tasking and direction from the X-Lab O&S Leadership for all operations, tests, experimentation, and real-world events.
Assist in all hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEs.
Ability to solve problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity.
Work is closely supervised following established policies and procedures or under very general supervision.
Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor and within the company or group but may be external as well.
Errors in judgment would typically require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience instead of a degree.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start.
Must have experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.
Must have experience in system and/or network administration, including:
Linux
Windows
Nutanix cloud infrastructure
MDA CLAN
DISA EM network usage
Must have experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.
Experience in data flow usage and the ability to troubleshoot DISA and MDA network connectivity are required.
The position at Schriever Space Force Base is not a remote work position. Generally, it requires regular business hours, but occasionally, some nights and weekends will be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.
Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
