Job description

Multifamily Operations Analyst

Remote - Dallas, Texas

JOB PURPOSE: As an Operations Analyst, this position is responsible for providing financial analysis, project management and administrative support for the company's entire multifamily portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the multifamily leadership team, providing them with reports and analysis to support decision making. This position will work closely with the Multifamily Leadership Team and interact with Asset Management, Revenue Management, and Business Services.

  • Analyze performance results for properties and portfolios to identify performance gaps and areas for improvement, while also highlighting successes.
  • Conduct routine market research and analysis to identify trends across portfolio, competitor data sets, and industry benchmarks.
  • Evaluate and compare property performance against annual business plans and budgets.
  • Monitor trends in portfolio performance and build reporting to provide insights on multifamily metrics and KPIs.
  • Perform weekly and monthly property reviews to ensure compliance with Harbor Group SOPs, and present findings to manager and/or senior analyst.
  • Assist in the tracking of property licenses, permits, and other relevant property information
  • Provide regular and/or ad hoc multifamily asset level and portfolio level financial and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review multifamily standards and functions, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency. This may involve developing new operational SOPs.
  • Complete various administrative tasks to support multifamily leadership.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

  • 1-3 years of analyst experience in multifamily.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate accounting, financial statements, and variance analysis, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) required, MRI a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in business case development.
  • Professional demeanor with sound judgment, maturity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
