Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems is thrilled to present a unique career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – COSA (25-064) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this position offers the chance to work on the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, a vital operational system that integrates the Missile Defense System.

Position Overview:

The Computer Operations Analyst will be a key player in the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This program integrates the Missile Defense System, a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. The C2BMC program supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. The Computer Operations Analyst will be responsible for performing daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC-G systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment. This work is instrumental in enabling space domain awareness and defense, a key part of our company's mission. Your contribution will be invaluable.

Essential Functions:

  • The candidate will be assigned to a shift and given an assignment based on mission requirements. This may involve working [specific shift details] and being on-call for emergencies.   • Upon completion of the initial training, the candidate will move to the X-Lab training. This phase is designed to [specific details about the X-Lab training]. The X-Lab training is a crucial part of our commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Will provide first-level technical support to the customer and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC-G hardware, software, and networks.
  • Document and report all events/issues to leadership.
  • Receive tasking and direction from the leadership for all operations, tests & real-world events.
  • Assist in maintaining user accounts as directed by the local ISSO.
  • Operates and sustains the C2BMC-G mission systems and/or training systems environment for operational and training missions supported by C2BMC's presence in the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC).
  • Candidate will begin training on C2BMC-R systems, and the training will be conducted in a 24 x 7 environment.
  • Candidate will also be trained on C2BMC-G at the collateral level.
  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued TS/SCI security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, etc.) is required to start.
  • The position requires rotating 24 x 7 shift work.
  • Experience operating and maintaining large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.
  • Experience in system and/or network administration that includes
    • UNIX
    • Linux
    • Windows
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.
  • Experienced in data flow usage and ability to troubleshoot with internal and external agencies to establish network connectivity.
  • Experience using Confluence and Jira.
  • Basic scripting (Bash and Powershell).
  • Must have Active Directory experience.

Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
