Job summary

LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking an experienced aerospace tooling engineer in Texas to plan, create, verify and revise machine control data and geometry for NC equipment. You will develop new machining techniques and processes, create 3D models from 2D drawings, and apply GD&T within CATIA environments for tooling and fixtures.

The role requires proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, experience with aerospace tooling, PCM/mylars, and familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T standards.

Qualifications

Job description

• Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience. Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
• Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
• Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
• Ability to create 3D models from 2D drawings.
• Has working knowledge of Photo Contact Masters (PCM) and mylars.
• Experience with aerospace tooling, GD&T, and fixture design. Works under general direction.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 for 3D modeling, tooling design, fixture design, and manufacturing support.
• Ability to develop and modify aerospace tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing components using.
• Experience applying GD&T requirements, engineering drawings, and design standards within CATIA environments.
