Tek Tree LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our on-site shop in Minerva, OH. You will program from engineering prints, set up lathes, and produce precision components to tight tolerances with strong attention to quality.

• Must read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional who can interpret complex engineering drawings, program CNC lathes directly from prints, and independently produce precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision-machined components.
• Develop CNC programs directly from engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Interpret complex mechanical prints, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Apply G-code and M-code programming to machine parts accurately.
• Inspect finished components using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and required tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or setup adjustments.
• Work independently to complete machining projects while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience programming CNC machines directly from prints.
• Thorough understanding of G-code and M-code.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection and machining quality control procedures.
• Ability to work independently and produce parts to tight tolerances.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets production requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating HAAS CNC lathe machines.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with Mastercam or similar CNC programming software.
• Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
