Job summary

Collabrains is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our shop floor in Chicago. You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts from engineering drawings.

You should have strong hands-on experience, read blueprints, and select tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds. The role emphasizes quality, tight tolerances, and safe, efficient manufacturing with modern CNC equipment. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to inspect parts and maintain tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.

• Ability to inspect parts and maintain tight tolerances
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
