Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Computer Equipment Support Operations II to provide desktop support for our government customer in Ft. Eustis, Virginia.

The role includes entering and tracking work requests in Remedy, on-site Tier II support, account management, hardware/software installation, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. Candidates must have DoD 8140.01 certifications, an associate degree or higher, Windows 10 certification within six months, and US citizenship

Qualifications

• DoD 8140.01 certification required (Security+, CND, GICSP, CASP+ or CCNP Security, CISA, SSCP).
• Associate's degree or higher in IT-related field preferred, or IT-related field.
• Windows 10 certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support and respond to service requests.
• Enter tasks into Remedy action request system and create tickets.
• Operate the Service Desk with Tier II support, including on-site services for walk-in inquiries.
• Manage Remedy accounts and coordinate with the customer to resolve requested work.
• Provide problem resolution for hardware, software, and network infrastructure including remote access; install and upgrade as needed.
• Analyze and maintain local network components, software, peripherals, and data processing equipment.
• Provide and implement solutions for reported problems on equipment/networks.
• Perform on-site monitoring of system workload and hardware configuration.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Computer Equipment Support Operations II to provide support for our government customer in Ft. Eustis, Virginia.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• The individual shall provide desktop support services and respond to and resolve service requests.
• The ability to enter tasks into the Remedy action request system to create a ticket that describes the work to be performed.
• Operate the Service Desk with Tier II systems support, to include providing on-site services for walk-in inquiries.
• Manage accounts on the Remedy action request system portion of assigned responsibility for the job; input all relevant work request data within the Remedy action request system and coordinate as necessary with the customer to resolve the requested work.
• Provide problem resolution services in the areas of equipment maintenance, software and network infrastructure including remote access necessary to provide state-of-the-art performance that may include hardware and software installation and upgrades, troubleshooting, system configuration, and design and maintenance of databases.
• Analyze, manage, and maintenance duties related to local network system components, software, peripherals and functionality of automated data processing and communications equipment.
• The ability to provide and implement solutions to reported and discerned problems reported on this and related equipment/networks.
• Perform network management responsibilities to include on-site monitoring of systems workload, system hardware component installation, configuration and operation.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• Individual shall have DoD Directive 8140.01 Certification requirements (i.e. Security+, CND, GICSP, CASP+ or CCNP Security, CISA, or SSCP)
• Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred, or IT related field.
• Windows 10 certification will be required within the first six (6) months of employment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Six (6) months of IT related experience, preferred one (1) year of Computer Equipment Support Operations experience

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must have and maintain an active Secret clearance.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

• $58,000.00
• The compensation range or hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable laws.
