Applitrack in Cedar Lake, Indiana seeks a Computer Coordinator to support digital learning across classrooms. You will plan, prepare, develop and teach digital lessons in collaboration with school leaders and teachers, and manage the computer lab schedule.

The role requires an Indiana teaching license (preferred), an associate degree or higher, and knowledge of technology, devices and educational software. You will model professional conduct and communicate effectively with students.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, develops, and teaches various digital learning lessons in collaboration with the building principal, technology director, instructional technology coach, other technology assistants, and teachers.
  • Follows Indiana Academic Standards for Computer Science in planning and instruction.
  • Manages classrooms of students according to the computer lab schedule as put forth by the building principal.
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of teachers.
  • Provides general supervision in the computer lab or classroom and assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board Policy.
  • Sets up and operates equipment used in the computer lab for digital learning purposes.
  • Participates in in-service training programs
  • Performs other duties assigned by building principal.

Job description

Title: Computer Coordinator

Reports to: Building Principal, Technology Director, Instructional Technology Coach

Qualifications:
  • Valid Indiana Teaching License (Preferred)
  • Two years (approx.. 60 hrs) of study at an institution of higher education
  • An associates degree or higher
  • Met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal state academic assessment (Praxis I or CASA)

Must also have extensive knowledge of technology; devices and educational programs. Must have good moral character and ethical code. The ability to communicate effectively with children. Demonstrate adequate verbal and written language skills and serve as a role model for adults and students.

Salary: $13 - $19 per hour

Days of employment: 183

Hours: 29.75hrs per week
