ReNEW Schools in Indianapolis is seeking a Computer Science Educator to instruct students under the direction of the school principal. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with Indiana standards, teaching computer skills, and assessing student performance.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, an Indiana teaching license, and experience working with diverse student populations. Strong classroom management and instructional skills are essential for this role.
Under the direction of the school principal, provides computer science education instruction to students.
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university. Must possess successful experiences working with a diverse population of students and faculty.
Indiana teaching license in Business 5-12 or Computer Education 5-12 and ability to be deemed 'highly qualified' according to the Indiana Department of Education.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
