Job summary

PlanITROI LLC, based in Youngsville, NC, seeks a Computer Audit Technician to wipe, test, image, and configure IT devices across Apple and Microsoft products. This role focuses on quality, diagnostics, and accurate record-keeping to support refurbished technology initiatives.

As a Temp-to-Perm position with a 90-day conversion, the candidate will work 7:30 AM–4:00 PM in our Production Department, maintaining high standards, collaborating with the team, and contributing to cost-effective repair

Qualifications

  • Education or training in computer auditing/QC preferred; A+ certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware and software, including BIOS configuration and upgrade utilities.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various IT issues.
  • Experience in configuring, maintaining, and upgrading PC workstations and peripherals.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wiping, testing, imaging, and reconfiguration of IT equipment to meet standards.
  • Use diagnostic software to identify defects and order parts if cost-effective for repair.
  • Upgrade, configure, and test computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with Production Team to drive project completion and smooth operations.
  • Record configuration details, audit results, and cosmetic information in the database.
  • Assist in establishing standards and policies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure proper placement of inventory physically and in the system.
  • Support organization and upkeep of the technical facility.
  • Perform other tasks to aid team and company goals.

Computer Audit Technician Position Overview:

PlanITROI is seeking talented Computer Audit Technicians to join our dynamic Production Department. In this role, you will be responsible for wiping, testing, imaging, and configuring a variety of computer equipment, ensuring all units meet our high standards. You will use diagnostic tools to identify and address defects, ordering parts when necessary. This position requires hands‑on work with laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones, and both Apple and Microsoft products.

This is a Temp-to-Perm position with a 90-day conversion.

Hours: 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough wiping, testing, imaging, and reconfiguration of IT equipment to meet specified standards.
  • Use diagnostic software toidentifydefective equipment and order parts if cost-effective for repair.
  • Upgrade, configure, and test computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with the Production Team to drive project completion and ensure smooth operations.
  • Accurately record configuration details, audit results, and cosmetic information in the production database.
  • Assistinestablishingand implementing standards and policies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure proper placement of inventory both physically and within the system.

Requirements & Experience:

  • Relevant education or training in computer auditing/QC preferred; A+ certification is a plus.
