Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Pay Rate: $20-21

Location: 5 days a week in Exton, PA

MUST HAVES:

• Successful completion of HS diploma or GED
• Experience working with a computer design program (Photoshop, drafting, 3D modeling, interior design, graphic design, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail

NICE TO HAVES:

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree
• Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is looking for a CAD Technician for our largest telecom client. This is an entry-level position requiring development of knowledge in specific areas of drafting, such as electrical, mechanical, or civil drawings, with the ability to operate a computer-aided drafting (CAD) system. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a CAD system and an interest in the telecommunications industry.

DAY TO DAY:

• Create diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and various drawings to scale according to clients' requests.
• Perform mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations.
• Scale engineering drawings using CAD systems.
• Develop detailed design drawings, including structure, schematic, foundation, grounding, steel, layout, equipment, wiring, panel, AC/DC, one-lines, and other relevant drawings for substation, relay, and line design jobs.
• File drawings, maintain catalogs of engineering data, and perform routine drawing room functions as required.
