Position Summary

The Procedural Service Technician acts as a Trusted Advisor to STERIS Customers in maintenance and procurement of medical devices and consumable products as part of a high-performing team. This position involves on-site preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, and installation support on all operating room equipment (OR integration, lights, tables, video technology, warming cabinets, System 1e) in a high-stress healthcare environment. It also emphasizes providing superior Customer service through proactive interaction, communication, and utilizing technology for administrative and troubleshooting purposes.

This is a remote-based Customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in Pennsylvania or New Jersey to support and service assigned territory.

What You'll Do as a Procedural Service Technician
  • Drive Customer satisfaction through proactive communication and resolving issues expediently.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS Surgical product lines and related equipment, including disassembly, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and certification.
  • Conduct Customer training and in-servicing on equipment, coordinating with relevant managers.
  • Ensure positive Customer experiences by performing installations, conversions, and site visits, coordinating with project teams.
  • Utilize technology to complete administrative duties, including scheduling, service reports, and communication.
  • Establish effective relationships with Customers and internal teams, proactively responding to issues and recommending product enhancements.
  • Identify sales opportunities and communicate leads to management and sales staff.
  • Abide by all hospital and STERIS protocols, including OR and sterile field guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory procedures and resolve purchase order issues as needed.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • One to two years of technical field service experience in healthcare products or equivalent technical training.
  • Excellent knowledge of PCs, video technology, networking.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Proficiency with Windows, web technologies, troubleshooting, and customer communication.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with OR medical devices, especially surgical equipment and OR integration.
  • Technology integration experience.

Pay range: $53,000.00 - $74,287.50, plus bonus eligibility. Rates depend on experience, education, and other factors.
