Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a hands-on hardware qualification engineer in Seattle to qualify next-generation compute, including GPUs, servers, and racks, before fleet deployment. You will design and run benchmarks for performance, power, and thermals, and perform stress and fault-injection tests to reveal weaknesses early.

You will document qualification results, collaborate with vendors on fixes, and contribute to fleet standards through detailed reports and configs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with server or GPU systems.
• Ability to run reproducible benchmarks with controlled variables.
• Experience root-causing hardware failures across silicon, firmware, and system levels.
• Scripting and automation over checklists.
• Experience collaborating with vendors to fix issues.

Responsibilities

• Qualify next-generation compute: GPUs, servers, and racks tested against deployment standards before fleet sees them.
• Build and run the benchmark suites: performance, power, and thermals characterized under real workloads.
• Break things on purpose: stress, fault injection, and endurance runs that find weaknesses early.
• Write the qualification reports that become fleet standards: configs, firmware, and known issues documented.
