Compute Cost Analyst for AI Infrastructure

Zusammenfassung

Fireworks is seeking a Financial Compute Analyst to build and run the accounting for compute cost of revenue as we scale. You will partner with Infrastructure, FP&A, and Data teams to ensure costs are captured in the right period and allocated to the correct cost centers.

You’ll influence the gross margin by turning GPU utilization into auditable accounting schedules, with emphasis on automation and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced AI infrastructure environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
• 3–6 years in accounting/finance with cost accounting experience.
• Experience with cost allocation concepts across cost centers.
• Experience in cloud computing, AI infrastructure, or usage-based models preferred.
• Experience evaluating vendor contracts and committed purchase terms.
• Comfort with large datasets and cross-system reconciliations.
• Experience with NetSuite or major ERP incl. allocation schedules.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or data warehouse exposure is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Builder mindset for scalable cost accounting processes.
• Strong communication translating cost needs to non-accounting stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Support monthly close for compute cost of revenue and related schedules.
• Reconcile GPU utilization data to CSP invoices and GL; investigate variances.
• Maintain prepaid cloud balance schedules and amortization tied to capacity.
• Assist with vendor/partner arrangements including spend and credits.
• Evaluate new vendor agreements for accounting treatment.
• Collaborate with Data teams to build cost data pipelines.
• Prepare memos on cost of revenue and capitalization decisions.
• Support external audits with cost schedules and inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale cost accounting processes.
