Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Computational Imaging Engineer to join the SPECS team in California.

You will develop image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for next-generation computational imaging platforms, and collaborate across optics, sensors, computer vision, and compute teams to influence architectural decisions. You will design test methodologies for ISP performance, lead root-cause analyses of sensor issues, and support travel up to 15% to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
2+ years of experience in computational imaging for computer vision applications.
Experience developing and optimizing ISP and machine learning algorithms for camera products.

Responsibilities

Develop image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for next generation computational imaging platforms.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across optics, sensors, computer vision, and compute teams.
Influence key architectural decisions and drive consensus on critical trade-offs.
Develop test methodologies and characterization plans for camera ISP performance.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for sensor performance issues.
Travel up to 15%.
