Job summary

Snap Inc is seeking a Computational Imaging Engineer to join the SPECS team in Los Angeles. You will develop image signal processing pipelines for next-generation computational imaging platforms and work across optics, sensors, and compute teams to shape architectural trade-offs.

You will apply expertise in CV and ML to optimize camera ISP performance, lead testing and validation, and travel up to 15%. Snap offers equity and robust health benefits as part of a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
2+ years of experience in computational imaging for computer vision applications.
Experience with ISP, computer vision, and machine learning for image processing.
Experience developing and optimizing ISP and ML algorithms for camera products.
Experience with non-traditional image sensors including SPADs, event sensors, neuromorphic sensors, etc.

Responsibilities

Develop image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for next generation computational imaging platforms.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across optics, sensors, computer vision, and compute teams.
Influence key architectural decisions and drive consensus on critical trade-offs.
Develop test methodologies and characterization plans for camera ISP performance.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for sensor performance issues.
Travel up to 15%.
